We want you to know that, although we have all been effected by the impact of Covid-19 on our region, families and communities,  North Sydney Credit Union will make the safety of our members, staff and community our priority.  We are committed to  maintain the high level of member service that we strive for every day!

In branch service should be reserved for transactions that cannot be completed electronically or by phone.  Our staff are here to assist our valued members with your electronic options and complete transactions over the phone.  Please reach out to us at 902-794-2535 or admin@northsydneycreditunion.com for this support. 

We offer a full range of online banking options to allow you to complete what you need from the comfort and safety of your home.  We realize this channel may be new to some of our members, so we've captured an overview of the options and some How to Videos below.

Bank When, Where and How You Want
Members have several convenient ways to access their banking services when, where and how they want:

•Through your Smartphone using our mobile app - Search for NSCU Mobile in your app store
•Telephone banking (1-800-963-4848)
•In-branch- for esstential services that cannot be completed using electronic services, or by appointment
•Call us at 902-794-2535 for assistance with paying bills and help utilizing our electronic services
 

If you don’t have a computer or smartphone?
Telephone banking is an easy and convenient option.  You can check account balances, pay bills and transfer money.  If you haven’t used it before, call us for help with that.

How will I get cash or make deposits?
You can withdraw/deposit money through our ATM or get cash back when doing your grocery shopping.

Keeping You Safe: In-Branch Banking
North Sydney Credit Union is taking extra steps to keep you and our employees safe while in branch. We have taken measures to reduce traffic in branch by encouraging the use of ATM, Teleservice, Member Direct and assisting members whenever possible over the phone.  We understand that many of our valued members will still require certain services in branch and we will be here to serve those in branch when necessary. We have hand sanitizer available for all members and staff. Also, we are deep cleaning the branch daily including sanitizing door handles, ATMs, and reception areas.  

Protect Yourself from Fraud
Unfortunately, scammers will try to take advantage of situations like this.  Please remember that we will never send you unsolicited emails asking for personal identification such as passwords, PINs, social insurance number, credit card or account information.  North Sydney Credit Union wants you to know that we take the safety and security of your information seriously.  If you ever receive an email that appears to be from someone at our branch, please call us at 902-794-2535 or send us an email to admin@northsydneycreditunion.com to confirm whether the email is legitimate before responding.

As you probably already know, we’ve implemented several changes to our in-branch services in response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.  While in-branch services have changed, rest assured, we’ll be with you every step of the way to ensure you can complete your financial needs through our other service channels.

Our staff are available from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday & 9:30am - 5:00pm on Friday, to address questions and complete transactions over the phone.  In branch service, is reserved for essential services that cannot be completed electronically.  Please reach out to us at 902-794-2535 for this support.

Telephone Banking:
Our telephone banking services enables you to complete transactions such as checking account balances, paying bills, transferring funds and making payments which can easily be done through our Telephone Banking Service.  

To access telephone banking, call 1-800-963-4848.

Member Direct Online Banking:
You can check your account balances, pay bills, send e-transfers, deposit cheques conveniently through our desktop or mobile version of online banking.  

Mobile Banking:
Download our mobile app to check account balance, pay bills, send e-transfers and deposit cheques.
